Hello,

I cannot access WebAccess on my Virtual Center Server.
Service is installed with all default ports and the Service is running.
When I https://VC_Server I get the welcome screen and when I then choose the login to Web Access it doesn't provide me with the userid/password screen but seems to timeout.
This not only happens when I am use IE on my PC but also when I am logged on to the VC server (RDP) and use IE on the server itself.
Ping localhost works.
Any Ideas would be appreciated to solve this issue.

check vmware webaccess service in services

As stated in my mail already, the service is running.
Cycling the service didn't help.

maybe a firewall is blocking the webAccess port?

Though about that but is that possible if it fails on the server itself.
Open IE on the VC Server and try to login.
Same error

Ah, Now i see you posted in the VC1 Forum... So you are trying this on VirtualCenter 1.x?

In that case: In 1.x there is no webAcces like in VC2. the Webacces wil only display a white page (or less....). This is because the webaccess is only meant as a programming interface. This means that you can use the webaccess from scripts or applications, there is no HTML interface.
